BEst deal on an OEM T-belt Tensioner TODAY? that you know of?

Hey anyone want to help me save a few bucks?

Right now I can only find t-belt tensioners for $98/shipped for OEM.

Anyone know where to get a better deal?

This is not something you want to go cheap on. Some places may have a deal on buying the T-belt, tensioner, tensioner and idler pulley together but that is about the cheapest I have seen for an OEM tensioner.

I find mistubishiparts.com always has teh cheepest prices for OEM parts, though they are not always the fastest (my local dealer usually gets me parts in 2 days). You need to verify part number but looks like $76.XX

Not cheaping out; just seeing who's offering the best deal on the OEM part, like I said, since I just broke my brand new one.

The price I was talking about IS with the same company you are talking about. With tax and shipping it's $98. So I went ahead and got it since I can't find anything better and they are local to me.

I wonder if it really is the same manufacturer as he is alluding to, or not? Anyone using this one? He says you "can guess" who makes it, but he sure is not actually stating it is the same as actual OEM, just that the number matches, so "you can guess" who makes it. I don't wanna guess.

No need to guess... it doesn't matter. I am running one and it precisely matched my old OEM one, not that I'd care either way. Aftermarket parts are just fine... people blow timing belts because they don't install them properly, fluid contamination, or because they failed to replace wear items, not because of defective aftermarket belts or materials. It never ceases to amaze me how people on here demonize perfectly fine aftermarket parts. Hell; I'm running his $29 timing belt even. I have never seen a timing belt break because of a true manufacturer's defect - they fail because of what I listed above.

Alright, well I already bought the other one, so I can't compare them for another 60K miles. How many miles have you had yours?

You can also trust the contitech belts (OEM manufacturer for belts) and GMB water pumps (They manufacture OEM pumps too; not sure if Mitsubishi is on their contract though).

Well the Mitsubishparts.com (Misubishi in Puyallup, WA) he had to order it from the warehouse.

I cancelled that order, sent it to partsdinosaur.com got it in 2 days from the day I ordered. Looks like OEM to me.
