4g63 in a mirage??

My friend has a 1993 mitsubishi mirage and he wants to put a turbocharged eclipse engine in it. For one, is it realistically possible and has it ever been done? I'm thinkin it would be really tight squeeze seeming that his little 1.5L looks pretty crammed in there already. Does anyone make custom axles, shift linkage, and motor mounts to put a 4g63 in a mirage? Let me know

Yep, they fit perfect (depending on the year of the car) There's a few clubs devoted to it, here's what I found with a quick google search

go to www.mirageforums.com and then do a search in the Turbo/Swap Performance forum. We have a few members with 4G63 turbo motors in their 4th Gen '93-'96 Mirage/Colt/Summit.

there have already been several threads about swapping the 4g63 into a 4th generation mirage/colt/summit. If you search there were more links that haven't been posted in this thread. I just assumed it was a 4g because the 5g's and up are much more difficult to swap it into (Can you tell I used to have a mirage and read mirage forums?) And just out of curiosity, Sedan or Coupe? I'm guessing S Coupe. And yes, very possible to swap into a 4th gen S Coupe.

Yes, its the 2 door coupe. My sister-in-law has a 93 mirage sedan with the 1.8L, it has a little bit of pick up but she is considering the 4g63 too...

I had a 4G S Coupe. I wanted to do the 4g63 swap and get an evo body kit. It would have been so badass. You can tell I have a little rice in my blood but the swap was so going to come before the body kit. Eventually I decided I didn't want to spend all that $$$ so I was gonna sell the mirage and buy an eclipse and that's when I totaled my mirage. Damn liability only insurance.
