I think he means the recirculation kit for the HKS SSQ!!! I wanted to get that BOV but I got stuck with the Greddy Type-S instead!!! :(

I have the HKS SSQV with the recirc kit. It was easy to setup and I was able to use the stock tube that goes from the BOV outlet to the intake pipe. I paid $54 shipped from www.horsepowerfreaks.com for the recirc kit. I don't see why they charge that much as the "kit" only consists of an outlet 'nipple' that goes on the BOV, an inlet 'nipple' that goes on the intake pipe and a rubber hose with clamps. Not really $50 worth of materials IMO. I got it for the piece of mind that I get from not having to worry about stuttering between shifts and a screwed up idel (2 symptoms that sometimes happen when venting into the atmosphere).

As far as the comment made about "If you like the sound of the HKS, don't get the recirc"... That's not really true. My BOV has the triple-discharge sound with the recirc kit just like one that vents. Like any BOV it just won't be as loud when the air is getting rerouted into the intake as opposed to venting into the atmosphere. When I installed my ProfecB, the blow-off was even louder (due to more PSI in the UIP when shifting)and the "HKS sound" was much more distinct.

thanks for the advice shadow...and to all the rest of you...thanks too..

I'm prolly goin to buy the recirc fitting from an HKS dealer for 12 dollars...then juss construct my own lil rubber house..prolly buy it from home depot or something, or maybe even use the old one. Got one more question shadow? were u still able to point the relief of the BOV towards the engine block, or did you have to rotate the BOV in a different manner? If you have any pictures, that would be mighty helpful? thanks...

thanks shadow...also btw...like your rims....i like rims w/ a silver lip. car is lookin nice. take it easy.

how hard was it to get it welded on? I am in the same boat, just got a HKS SSQ BOV but I have a Greddy UICP. Wasn't sure if I should sell the UICP and get another one or just buy a flange and get it welded.

BTW, where did you get your HKS flange from?

This is pretty much the same reason why i have the recirc kit too, and I have an automatic, so i had a great issue of stuttering. The only problem i had with the install is with the Injen intake I could not get the stock rubber hose to match back up at all. i ended up having to fabricate one out of some Hig temp Vacume cleaner looking hose, but it works pretty good. I only ended up paying 25 for mine with shipping. I say yor best bet is to go to HKS website and start looking for authorized HKS dealers, then give one of them a call.

find someone who can weld aluminum. have the greddy flange hacked off and a hks flange welded on. go to www.overboost.com to get a hks flange. get the aluminum flange cause your pipe is aluminum. shouldnt cost much to get it welded on, i had mine done for $35 i think.

Okay, this is a kinda old post, but i have a question, i want to get this BOV, but i have stock pipeing, so is there anything custom that i will have to do to put it on? or do i need a pipe or something? please advise... Thanks!

You will have to weld a flange, or buy an appropriatley flanged pipe :)

they make a adapter piece that allows you to put it on the factory piping.. mine has it but I do not know where it came from because it was on the car when I got it.

just get the hks bov for a mitsubishi eclipse. it will come with the flange that you stick in your uicp. but if i were you id get the bov(universal) and the uicp(check the vendors) at the sametime, saves you time and agrovation trying to get that damn c-clip out and then back in.

I have the HKS and was venting out instead of back in the intake. I had major idle problems. I pulled it off and bought the recir nipple. I now have it on my car again and all I had to do was pick up a 1" heater hose and cut a 1/2 piece and put that on the recir nipple so my stock dump hose would fit. So far so good.

hey ppl I have the hks ssq bov and love it.
I have found that it is very efficent and drops the psi super fast.

feel free to drop me a note if you have more questions.

I bought the SSQV a few months back and when I was intalling it I totalling removed the dump tube and when my friend was taking it out it cracked so we threw it out. Ive now been running into some problems with stalling between shifts. I bought a recirculation kit now and I'm wondering if I can even hook it up still since the top of the dump tube isnt there?? Any ideas?? Thanks.
