Guys,

Got a quick question .... when installing FMIC's, either Greddy or Apex-i, how much cutting was involved? I don't minde cutting the foam and rebar - cause if i smash someone, everything is going to get totaled anyway. I just don't want to cut any of my front bumper (skin). Is it possible to install these kit without any cutting of the bumper (skin)??

Anyone got any pictures of the rebar / foam cut and/or the bumper skin cut?

Thanks
Peepers

You don't HAVE to cut the skin, but most the 95+ guys (eclipse) cut the black part out that's in the mouth. With most FMIC kit you will have to do some cutting to the metal bumper. The kits that don't require a cut (star, stillin, ect) usually flow like poop.

When I installed my large GReddy fmic on my 2g gs-t I just left the bumper reinforcement off, along with the foam padding. It helps on weight savings some. Anyways... I used a dremmel for trimming my bumper cover, it was very easy even though I admit I was kinda stressing a little at the time, only because I had never done it before. You just have to be patient with it. Took me about 2 hrs to finally get the bumper all shaped up. Good luck!!
