I don't think this is hooked up right from what I gather. My question is what exactly is it doing while hooked up like this?

The pictures are in order showing the routing. of the lines

The canister that the first vacuum line actuates is what opens the runners of the cyclone manifold. Without a chip that opens that solenoid at a specific RPM or Load it won't function properly. Also that is a Vacuum canister and takes vacuum to open it up when you are in boost it is forcing it closed and therefore you are only running the engine on one of the runners for each port. You need a vacuum canister that holds vacuum so that when the solenoid opens it will open the runner.

I would just disconnect the line going to the canister and block the port in the open position. That way it isn't robbing you of power. Then connect the plastic line directly to the vacuum hose for your boost gauge.

Also, Dude... Something's wrong with your ECU's board! I believe those are the ISC drivers I circled? You need to put a new ISC in your TB and get your ECU repaired.

Yes, you will need a vacuum canister to have that operate properly. The actual JDM ones are hard to find, but I used one from a Dodge Dakota that worked perfectly for me. I remember it being under $10, part # 4677204.

Yeah. I know about the ISC driver. I do not know if that was damaged from the ISC in this car or was pre existing. The cover from the ecu read 1992 awd turbo MT and mine is a 1991.

I am going to replace that when I socket the ecu. I found the socket. But I cannot seem to figure out what exactly to call the driver chip so I can replace it. I can order stuff from digikey and mouser i just don't know what to search for.

Thanks for the info guys.
