so far its been pretty hard for me to find a 1st gen dsm with any mileage under 100k, and i recently found a guy that would trade me his awd 92' tsi for my laser nonturbo with 1 thousand dollars.... seems like a good deal so far, but its mileage is 150k.... that seems pretty high to me but my car has 122k...... it this car gonna just go to **** in a matter of months because of its high mileage or not?

check the compression if its still good..if it is, at least the motors won't go on you.

Mileage doesn't mean s@$t. I had a 95 GSR that had 180K, and still ran as strong(stronger b/c of mods) than it did when it was new. And I've seen them go down as early as 1000k b/c of improper maintaining. My GST went at 115K I've seen them run strong up until 225K. It is the care put into a car that matters. You will be pressed to find a 1g w/ less than 120K

i just bought a 91 gsx w/110k for 800 bucks.....i saw it downtown and just couldn't pass it up.....one slight problem....slipped timing belt....i just bought a jdm engine for 1500 bucks....so even if i spend 1500 bucks on mods where am i at 3800 bucks for a car that flies. im game
