I've got a 90 tsi awd that i'm in the process of building and still have the crankwalked block out of my last 2g. I had JE pistons and Crower rods. I'm sure the pistons could be machined to fit 1g rods, but is there any way to fit the 2g rods in my 6 bolt engine?

When I first read that I thought you were gonna put stock 2G rods in a 1G.
Anyway the 2G rods are more narrow at the cap (rod bearing) and will not fit a 1G crank properly.
