Where did this long bolt fall off from

In the truest spirit of bolt on tech.
Motor mounts still have thier bolts and the Tcase doesn't have a nut on the end.
So what might this have fallen out of.

Def. NOT the alternator bolt. Off the top of my head I'm thinking either one of the 4 bolts that hold the A/C compressor to the cast steel plate on the back of the block. Or possibly the rear transmission bolt that goes from the block into the transmission (the only one that goes that way). Another possibility could be one of the oil filter housing bolts, or it could be a bolt that a previous owner left fall into the engine bay and never recovered. I'm assuming this came from the engine bay correct?

I would still check the T-case. Sure looks like a t-case bolt to me. The nut could be from somewhere else. Maybe you dropped it a long time ago and it was sitting on top of the tranny or something.

Looks like a tcase bolt, shaft is all clean while the head and end threads are dirty. So it has to be protected somewhere. That nut probably didn't go with that bolt.
On second thought that's an AC bolt.

Looked at the Tcase and it has the long 3 bolts across the bottom.

There's more than 3 bolts, like 5 or 7 I forget exactly.
yeah but the 3 on the bottom are the only ones that long. Two on the top are short.

Does a 12mm socket fit on it or a 17mm socket?? It's hard to tell the scale.

If its a 12mm then I agree with Rob. That is an AC compressor Bolt/Nut.
neither 14mm

Agreed on A/C bolt.

That is most definitly the bottom bolt to the AC compresser

i agree on a AC pump bolt.

My a/c has 4 bolts going straight in to the back of the block that are all there.
Is there another one that I should be looking for on it that would have a nut on the end?
