I've been researching the dreaded crankwalk for 2nd gen cars, hoping mine would never happen. However I think it did this morning. In the past week, I've noticed the cars clutch was engaging a lot sooner then it use to but the pedal never sticked to the floor. This morning when I was driving to go pick up a friend I noticed it engaged even closer and it was hard to shift in EVERY gear. When I got to my friends house I couldn't even get the car in gear so we pushed it in his driveway and left it for school. And here I am now, worried sick about my car. The pedal also sticks to the floor now. Please help me. I don't know what the problem is, if it is crankwalk or not and if it is what can I do? If I have to replace the engine would a JDM cyclone engine be a good choose? I need help.

First off.....NO Cyclone engine. Waste of money.

2nd, if you were having those kind of shifting problems, you would also have problems keeping your car running. IE, crank would get pushed into the crank sensor and cut off.

So......
Clutch disc bad, slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. That's it.

I had a similar problem in my 1g...my clutch line had a small hole and drained my clutch master cylinder dry! I had the line replaced and it was fine after that!!
Good luck!!

Cool, thank you. I sure hope it is a simple problem like that. I didn't want a new engine anyways. :p I'll have it checked out when I get home.
