I got a 94 Talon ES, I am considering turboing it this summer. I know what I need to do it, but I need to know if the compression ratios are the same on the 2.0 and the 2.0 turbo. If its not, does it make a big difference? Also, what exhaust set up is the best when adding a turbo to an NA engine? Any other advise or comments would be appreciated too!
Thanks,
Jason

Turbo conversion is a BIG project! Your 2.0 NA motor has 9.0:1 compression and the turbo motor has 8.5:1 compression. If you're going to spend the time and $ on the conversion you should get some 95+ pistons and have your rods machined to fit them. The best way to convert it is to get a turbo wiring harness and ecu and convert everything but the motor. A 3" is best for any turbo car! I hope that helps! :D Good luck!

actually a 1g turbo has lower compression than even 8.5 But the 2g 8.5 c/r will work just fine and a lot of 1g people swap them in if they've got their engine taken apart.
