My ride is a 92 GSX. I read the free mod page within this site already, and performed the MAFS mod, and the aircanister mod, as well as the boost control solenoid mod. Now, before I buy some more aftermarket performance parts, I want to make sure that my engine is the best that it can be with what it already has. Does anyone know of any more free mods that I haven't done yet?

hacksaw the exhaust off right after the downpipe
you'll feel that in the seat of your pants
might be a little loud though

You didn't mention pulling the silencer from the intake; that'll make a small difference.

Then you should get to work on the maintenance side of things. Get your car in 100% condition before you start adding new parts...

Yeah, pull your fog lights. You might want to see about cleaning out your intercooler too. It takes about half an hour if all the bolts come out. Just remove the IC and run some rubbing alcohol or high test gas through it. I blocked the one end with some cut up water balloons and the other with my hand and shook it around. The first two flushes came out pretty dark and the third was clean.

Also u can take out yer egr and remove all your emission lines and charcoal canister. Makes everything look better. And u might c some slight power gains.:dsm:

I would start with flushing your radiator with a flush kit. Then flush your intercooler with gas. After that you should get out the grinder and port the o2 housing that should keep you busy for a few days....PS gat a real boost controler not some fish tank valve!!!

I was goin to ask someone about doing this. Having that carcoal-tainted fuel and air going into your intake can't be good for it..... By removing this, will i have any problems with the ECU, or any of my sensors or idiot lights comming on?

you can make a catch can out of a fuel filter for the oil breather coming from the valve cover. word is it spews oil in the intake

Removein all that crap is quick and easy. Doing the PCV is a little different. Your gotta drill out the pcv itself which sucks, then get a fuel filter an run the 2 lines from the VC to it. Simple stuff, there all kinds off filters u can get just get one that will work how u wnat it. THe way i have mine set up, theres no mess .
