It looks like it coulda been done better on this car, but you get the idea. It would prolly make a fairly decient difference, and IMO, it doesnt look that back (just if it was done neater). Poll, yes or no?

even if i were to do something like that on a drag car i would just take the front bumper off. save some weight.

I dunno. I thought Id give the idea a whirl by you guys to see what ya think. I love the fronts, the only draw back IMO is that FMIC's dont get enough exposure. I think I would concider doing this, or maybe cut neat slots on the front bumper instead of cutting that large of section out.

I've seen that before but done a hell of alot better. I was thinking of maybe doing that to mine. Although not quite as much as that guy did because his is a little overboard.

Guy's I have this done to my front bumber, but not as bad looking as that laser. The guy who own's that laser obvisouly does not care for looks that much. To do this I would only do it to a weekend warrior/strip car which my car is just that. I would not do it to a daily driven DSM it's just not pratical. The FMIC I have is the Sperco 2-216 it is very large in height and width 28" x 10.5" x 3.5". So I wanted to utilize as much surface as I could for my FMIC. I think my frount end actually add's a little character to my car. My frount bumber is the exact same look as Nate Crisman's of DSMotorsport. I will try to post a pic of it. Here is the link go to it and check it out, scroll down page to were it list's 2-216 FMIC you will see pics of nate's yellow car and the way it looks with the bumber notched. What do you guy's think? I think it is tolerable and does not look bad at all. http://www.diamondstarmotorsport.com/fmicparts.shtml

I think if anyone is going to notch a bumber it should some what resemble mine a nates, But that is just my opinion. Later

god i love those rims, i just cant bring myself to do it. this may sound crazy, but i would get a bar plate or extruded tubing intercooler that has a better cooling cross section before i would hack the front of my car. the ones posted above are done VERY well. i just cant do it:cry:
