Ok so far there are def 2 people in on this and ideally the shop says they would want atleast 10 people but of course more would be even better and would make the shop even more willing to do it. This is for solid motor mounts that would be a complete replacement like the ones that Steve(Biglady) was getting made for people. Price is still not certain but the more people the better chance it will be more affordable it will be. So only if your SERIOUSLY interested post your name and how you would want to be contacted

This technically violates the rules of the site - we don't allow Group Buys except when posted in the Vendor forum by Supporting Vendors. I'll have to discuss this with the mods and will lock this thread until we come to a conclusion.

So after some discussion with the site leaders it's been decided that the proper way to handle this situation is to have the original poster contact one of our Supporting Vendors to see about having them fabricate the part and start the group buy in the vendor forum. A few vendors we have that might be interested: Punishment Racing, STM, Dejon, VIP, JMFab, Jay Racing - check our vendor page.

If you want the vendor you previously had in mind to be involved, have them become a supporting vendor of the site and they can post it in the vendor forum.

Why, you ask? There are two main reasons for this. First of all, we initially disallowed group buy posts by members due to the number of failed threads we saw in the past. It seemed there would always be problems when members tried to organize them. It became a safety concern for the members sending their money. Secondly, we don't want vendors who do not support our site to benefit from group buys. The idea here is to support the vendors who support our site and the DSM community - not those who have no commitment to our members. If a vendor commits to being a supporting vendor, they tend to be more trustworthy and dedicated to you, the DSM owner. It's a perk we give them for supporting us (and you).

I hope that explains the decision. Sorry Sean.
