Why are there two high speed relays for the radiator fan?

I’m looking at the wiring in my harness now, and I can’t figure out what the middle relay does. It shares 2 wires (labeled power and ECU pin 20 in the diagram) with the left-most high fan relay. The other two wires go to this connector. One (Black) goes to a ground on the ecu harness, but the other (Blue/black) stops at this connector. On the ecu side of the connector there is a rubber plug in the spot the wire would continue, so essentially it goes nowhere. My understanding is the Blue/black wire is the "Output" wire, so this relay can’t do anything if this wire goes nowhere, right?

It's Rad Fan (Lo2) for the automatics. ECU pin20 grounds Condensor Hi and Rad Lo2. Just a blank for the M/T.

As long as it doesn't bridge the other Hi relays to the ecu, I can't see why not. Never did understand why autos use Lo2 to ground the Hi speed rad fan motor...

It doesn't bridge any wiring so I'm going to remove it. Thank you sir :)
