Galant motor

Does anyone know what motor is in the 94 galants? I know they're 2.4s but does anyone know if they're 4g64s? thanks

yes the 94 galant had a 4g64, and was able to accept a dsm motor and 2g dsm tranny that swaps right in

Do you know whether or not that they will bolt into a 1G dsm?

yeah it would, thats how people make the stroked 4g63t motor, galant 4g64 block with a dsm head, makes good power

i dont think the 4g64 tranny will bolt into a 1g though so you might need to use a 1g tranny

a 1994-1998 galant 4g64 motor will work with a 1g

the 99+ galant 4g64 will work with newer mirages , ect... they swtiched it around , put the motor on the passenger side of the car, and the cam gears and everything all over to the other side of the motor
