other than the injectors, ecu,fp, do I need a install kit it looks like its the same lines as a 14b, will I need a downpipe? if I need a install kit where can I get it? also out of curiosity which turbo is worse my little 13g or a
t-25 ? there's a guy by me whos selling his 16g cheap and its almost new he has a/t also but he used his stock fuel system is this safe for my 390's I assume it would be if ur not crankin up the boost? im on a limited budget the only thing ive done for my fuel system is rewire it so someone help me b4 I have a 16g laying around for weeks till I can afford the rest of the parts . god I hate these go kart turbo's

i have a 92 auto and just replaced the turbo with a big 16g. you are seriously gonna laugh when you get the 13b out and put em side by side.

in any case the oil line into the 13b are smaller than the ones needed for the 16g housing. however the line are the same for the 14b and the 16g. so if you can get your hands on the oil line from a used 14b do it. the oil return "J" pipe on the bottom will bolt right on. you will also need the coolant lines from the 14b. (the dealer i ordered from one had the one that attaches to the front side, so i took my dremel and bored out the other one so it would accept the bigger banjo bolt.)
my advise is to try and buy these parts used and just clean them really well with gasoline or something similar. i bought the two oil lines, one coolant line, and the banjo bolts/crush washers to match and it totaled out to something like $186 new from the dealer. i got bent over.... buy it used if you can. while youre at it buy yourself a new manifold to turbo gasket.
hope this helps. good luck with the upgrade.

thanks alot for the info. I have a few other questions though did you use your stock fuel system? whats rpm are you at full boost? and the differance the turbo made?

i havent upgraded the fuel system any as of yet. im looking at getting a 255 fp by next month and im thinking of upgrading to some stock manual injectors(450cc's) for the time being. i dont have the cash for anything bigger, not to mention its fuggin cold outside right now. in any case the 450's arent that much bigger than the 390's to cause any problems with your fuel delivery or idle. and since i hacked my aircan i have more air going in anyway.
i am only running about 14 psi of boost right now. because i dont want to run too lean with the 390s. i have had no problems with anything related to my fuel system so far, but im not turning up the boost till i get some better fuel injectors at the least.
i still have a completely stock exhaust on the car. i have several upgrades ready to put on, but it is too cold out to justify putting one piece on at a time. so im waiting til i get a full exhaust ready to put in. in any case the stock exhaust increases the spoolup time quite a bit. i would say that in 2nd gear i hit full boost at about 4500+ rpms. the turbo made one hell of a difference, mostly because the 13b was just about dead. but from what i see the turbo pulls like a motha even with the amount of hold-up caused by the stock intake and exhaust systems.

p.s. you shouldnt need an ECU. yours should do fine for now. when you plan on getting bigger injectors get a S-AFC to lean your fuel system out.

not sure about the 4500+ spoolup rpm, i would go check for you but i have a coolant line leaking right now, and i dont wanna drive it til it gets fixed. that should be tomorrow so i will check things out then.

You guys wouldnt happen to be selling your 13g turbos would you??

I am looking for two 13g turbos.
