Okay, so here is something that's been on my mind for a couple days now. Here's the setup:

8.1:1 Wiseco's, Balanced and blueprinted on shotpeened, fluxed and cryoe'd 'big" rods...(In hindsight I'd go Crower or Eagle) but here's the problem. I am going with a large turbo (FP Red) and making my final decision on cams for it. Are there any side effects of going 272's on both intake and exhaust? How about advance on the cam gears? I'm just trying to make sure I don't do anything that will be debtrimental to performance. I assume the 272's will be perfect, but I don't want my valves letting compressed air right through them. I guess I'm just wondering if this is the perfect combination for a turbo that moves that much air. It's got a stage 2 head and fuel is handled by a Cozmo pump, Aeromotive AFPR, 6-AN & 8-AN lines, and 720 injectors. I've heard Buschur would be running bigger turbo/injectors, but his VPC won't allow him to do so. My fuel management is the AEM EMS, so I think I'm good there. I apologize if this should be in 2.0 performance, but didn't know if it'd get answered. Thanks in advance-
Brandon

I have HKS 272/272 on a 20g and I like the cams alot These cams work best for me at 5000 + rpm. The pull is really noticable at full top end. At low end its good if your rpm and gear choice is right. I mean if your going down the street at 30-35mph and make a turn at the next block and your in 4th gear you better be in 2ond gear after the turn or its boggy a bit.
I dont stall out at lights either like people say. Those people dont know how to tune and tweek there own stuff, leave it at stock or something hell I dont know.
I have to say with your set up the 272/272 combo should meet your demands unless you want a special grind all to youself. I drag so I like em for my needs., Autocross and other stuff I dont know ?

It's honestly an FP30 if you want in on the secret, but figure the Red's close enough to specs. I chose it for a variety of reasons, mostly flow and installation...Ball bearing always a plus. Okay, any other opinions are appreciated, and I'm sure a few wisemen have things to say too, so let's hear 'em!
Thanks-

definitely the 272/272.. what other choices would you have? Crower Stage 3 which not many people would suggest, Web Cams?? You know how everyone feels about Web cams.. or Jun? overprices and not nearly as effective.. I know plenty of people running the 272/272 on turbos alot larger then the FP30 with great results.
