It Runs!!!!

hehe.. we started the car 2nite for about 40 seconds.. my battery is dead so we jumped it with another battery becuase we dont have jumper cables laying around, anyhow it started up and well it didnt sound to good for the first 20 seconds it made a horrible winining sound but it went away almost instantly and sounded good, lobing but good.. then the battery we used to jump the car started smoking so we pull the terminals and the car stalled imeddiately.. obviously becuase I have no alternator or any accesory belts on right yet.. tomorrow we will have all the belts on and the whole car back together.. and hopefully the car will be at HIN in AC this weekend.. im keepin my fingers crossed and breathing a little easier..

I cant even tell you how much I want to get my car running again..im going nuts.. its been WAY to long.. I just hope it all works fine once I get the last belts on it and start it up after jumping it.. tomorrow is the last day

well it definitely runs but Im an idiot.. the car drives fine at like 2000rpms but as the RPMs go up the timing starts getting pulled and the car knocks hard.. I drove around for like 15 mins like this and did a couple logs before I finally realized I was supposed to set the BTDC Ignition timing which is something I didnt do and my Ignition timing is prolly way way advanced.. So Im going to set that timing tomorrow with the timing light i borrow from a friend 2nite.. more updates to come.. im gonna take a video of the car at idle.. i have it idling at 1200rpms and its lobing like a mo..
