I have a extra Mitsubishi Starion intercooler sitting in my garage. Has anybody used this intercooler on their DSM? If so did you inlarge the ic pipes, to what size?

Ive heard of people using these on their dsm's. I don have a lnk for you tho:( . If you want the inlets enlarged dejon tool could prob do it for you. :D Good luck!!!

If you really feel like it, go for it, but the gains are quite minimal.

Why do you say the gains would be quite minimal? The Starion intercooler is about 2.5 the size of the stock and it will be front mounted not hided in front of the tire?

inlets are small. So therefor the IC does not flow as well as it apears it should. Only way to make it a better IC is to get different end tanks put on.. Granted it will be better than a stock IC and you get that cool FMIC look. But from what iv heard they are not the best intercooler.

I plan on removing the stock inlet and outlet pipe and weld in new 2.25" pipes. I know it's alum. and yes I can weld alum.
