Hi all,

I have the following so far on my 96 GST:
RRE DP/Hi-Flow Cat, Apex N1, MBC, UCIP w/ 1G BOV, K&N FIPK.

I have about $1K to spend on mods and I was thinking about buying a 16g/w install kit and 190lph fuel pump.

Should I upgrade the suspension or brakes first? My goal is a all-around fast street car. Not really a drag-car.

Please post your thoughts.
Thanks for you input.

if you're happy with the kind of power you have now, go for the suspension... and brakes? what more could you want than the kind of brakes that came on the 2g? aside from the 15" rotors on the gt2... :D

Well, before you get any faster it might be a good idea to be able to stop faster too, right?:thumb:

but yeah, if your happy with your mods for know, might as well upgrade the suspension and brakes too. Alot of peeps just swap in the 2g awd rotors and calipers. Later.:D

with a bigger turbo you are going to need suspension mods inorder to attempt to keep those front wheels on the ground. i would lower/stiffen it up then you should be ready for more power.

I chose to do suspension and brakes FIRST before adding power. It sucks to go fast and loose it in a corner or not be able to stop. More power will require better control of those wheels to put the power to the ground. I had my reasons for doing brakes/suspension first and I would recommend it to anyone. My car is very stable and controllable and can stop from triple-digit speeds without blinking. Just now am I adding a BUNCH of power with intercooler and T3/T4 hybrid. I think the car will do just fine with it.
