Hey

i finally installed me new turbo
well not new but rebuilt stocker......i am wondering if it's still normal after i install everything to have it still smoke a little bit?

thanks:confused:

ahhh it was around 70ish

i was talking to a mechanic and he said it might be oil residue either on the exhuast pipe or inside the turbo housing either burning off

later

If you see a puff of blue/grey smoke as the engine starts, it could mean worn valve guides or valve-stem oil seals. If the smoke persists, the car could need new pistons and rings, or even a complete overhaul.

i am sure it's not the rings cause we checked those out a few months ago

but the valve seals is a possibility

Well good luck with it, check it out, and hopefully that solves the prob.

alrigt man this gets better

i went and started my car up today adn no smoke out of the tail pipe.... just from under the hood......i am thinking possiable coolant line leakage onto either the downpipe or turbo housing
