Not your typical FP Big28 question. PLEASE help.

I recently purchased a big 28 from another member on the board. It has finally arrived and I can't tell if I got ####ed or not. How do I tell if this is a big 28? Before I get too mad (turbo took 3 weeks to arrive from when it was "sent" and brother man took forever to respond to my emails) someone please let me know!

Take pictuers and post.

Or call FP and ask them how to identify if it is one of their turbos or not....

Pictures won't help based on the fact it is a t-25 housing. I don't know how to take it apart to look at internals?

Pics will help because the number of compressor blades is different than a T-25. A T-28 should have 9 compressor blades.

Check it out. I had the same question when I bought my big28 used.. IF it's actually from FP it'll have FP's insignia stamped on the exhaust housing where the turbo bolts to the exhaust manifold.. It's small so look closely.. Also on the compressor side there should be a white strip on one of the fins.

Yeah, somethin like that... Creamish? , might also have a little notch in the bolt that holds the wheel on.
