OK... here we go. I'll lay out what I have done to my car so far.
I've got a new big16g, stock injectors/pump, steel o2 housing with external dump, custom 3inch turbo-back exhuast system(new). All of it in my 1990 Eagle Talon AWD, which has 167,644 miles on it.

Now the first question:
Once my car warms up, my exhuast gas just smells awful. It doesnt look white or blue. According to ym friend when im at WOT it spits out a little puff of dark smoke(That smells like my exhuast does all the time). The car has a new headgasket and when it was changed, the machine shop said my head was in good shape and didnt need a valve job.

Do any of you guys have exhuast gas that smells like complete ass? And know what causes it?
Could this be coming from a piston ring that is letting a little bit of oil get through? The machine shop lied to me and I do infact need a valve job?

Next question:
When im at WOT and I get up into teh higher RPMS, it feels like the car starts to miss, but as soon as I let off the throttle a little bit, it is back to normal.. and according to my boost gauge im running 14.5/15psi. Are those symptoms of it running too lean? Or do i need to start replacing pieces of the ignition system. To my knowledge its all the original stuff.

what boost are you running? my car was doing the same thing, i had no fuel mods and too much boost and ended up melting the pistons. my suggestion is to go ahead and get a fuel pump and some type of fuel controller with your current setup before you melt some pistons like me:thumb:

Most exhuast stuff is shipped with a protective coating on it. Its there to keep the exhuast from coroding, or rusting before it gets to you.

It should burn off after the first week- and from what i've noticed, the small black puff is normal on most turbo cars as they run rich right after shifting, or leting off the throttle.

oh, my bad. i thought he had a stock exhaust. if it's a new aftermarket exhaust then it's probably nothing then. i agree with Dyre on that one:thumb:
