i just put an APEX-I n1 exhaust on my car with a apexi 2 1/2 down pipe and my car is quiter than other cars with same exhaust. Why?

Who cares? Consider it a blessing. The loudness gets annoying after a while.

I'd say leave it the way it is then. If it's quiet yet still produces more hp than before it's a blessing. Most people get tired of the loudness sooner or later.. like the guy above :tease:

that's just the thing I'm not tired of the loudness and i've had it since i was 16 i'm now 23

yours is new the glass pack is still good

old mufflers the glass pack is burnt out

just a guess

It's because of that resonator on there. Like somebody else said, if you went straight pipe all the way back, you would get that "loud" exhaust. I happen to like how quiet mine is...

i know that resonator's in there to quite it down but a guy i work with has the same setup and his is a lot louder.

The muffler & resonator in this system are fiberglass packed & will tend to get louder as it gets some use & will continue to get louder over the years.

Mine was dB tested after about 6 months use then again recently about 3 years later & gained 8 or so dB, still using the exact same test method.
