throttle body questions

ok i have a 90 talon tsi awd with the stock tb. i want to buy the fiav and isc block off plate so i don't have to deal with the coolant running into the tb anymore. and my isc is bad anyways.


would this cause my car to run like crap if i get rid of them or what mods do i need for the ecu so it dose not rely on the isc anymore?

Well if im not mistaken i would only idle a lil rough in the mornings. other than that, just adjust the BISS to whatever rpm you want it.

I run with the block off plate, and when the car is cold it is a little bit rough. Basically it compares to when you turn the air conditioner on which IMO is not too bad. When the car heats up it the idle is fine though.

Edit: I have the FIAV and ISC removed completely with the block off plate, but they do make plates that just block off the FIAV.

It will be a very choppy idle when it is cold outside until the car warms up. After that, the ISC takes over and all is gravy.

If you remove the ISC, the car may not always start in the mornings if it's cold ouside, but other then that, it should be fine. If the car happens to not turn over, you can just hold open the gas pedal very slightly and it should fire right up.
