With these mods, 2.5 buschur turbo back. 2g manifold, ACT2100 clutch. K&N filter. Removed lower honey comb. NGK plugs.

I have a 1g Talon. My car has 162,xxx miles on it. I want to know if the 17 psi on a STOCK fuel system is ok. With those supporting mods I just installed the manual boost controller. I took it for a ride and I spike at 17 psi, then it settles too 16. I dont get fuel cut or anything. not sure about knock. Is this 17-16 psi safe for the car. and the fuel pump. Will i hurt anything else?

Do you have the stock fuel pump rewired? Even if you do, I would turn the boost down a bit so with a spike it doesn't go over 16psi. With it being cold around most of the country, you MAY be able to get away with a spike to 17psi, but once it warms up, I wouldn't want to deal with it. Go buy a used VR4 pump (Denso 150lph) for $60, and give yourself a good piece of mind. Then go buy a datalogger to see if you are knocking or not.

If your on the stock fuel pump, i'd go no higher than 15 psi..

And since you have a high mileage car like me (mine is 115k) and it's your daily driver, you might want to be safe, and run 14psi...

I currently run 14psi.
