I just got my car back today. It was just overhauled, with a .30 bore, oversized pistons, turbo XS RFL Bov, injen intake, and a 16 G.
My problem is that at about 4000 - 5000 Rpms my car jerks real bad and ceases to go for a split second. I hear it might be the BOV, something about not being able to hook up to my intake. My second problem is that I reached boost in excess of 20 lbs, I dont know if my autometer gauge is broken are what .

Please share any thoughts on this subject

sounds like fuel cut, since i dont see a fuel pump injectors or fuel management in your profile. i dont think running 20 psi on a stock fuel system is a good idea. however i have never tried it so i dont know from experience. i would get a boost controller,lower boost to about 16 psi pull the lower honeycomb and see how it runs.

Is your wastegate actuator hooked up?
 
Sounds like fuel cut, with running over 20 psi and with the mods you have. As for the increase in boost, it might be time for a larger exhaust system. Does it hit 20+ right off the bat, or does it "creep" up to that?

And jdmawd is right, I think that 20+ is pushing it for a stock fuel system. First step is a fuel pump.
 
Couple points:

- DO NOT pull the honeycombs from your MAF. You're in a 2G, and that's bad.
- You don't list a boost controller anywhere, so if you're getting 20psi you've
got wastegate control issues. Check that the wastegate is hooked up properly.

Drive the car *really* gently until you get this taken care of; at 20psi you're going to be getting some serious detonation, and the jerking from fuel cut won't be doing your driveline any favours.
 
So what you guys are telling me, is that the reason I'm jerking real bad, is fuel cut?
-It creeps to about 10 psi and then bam I'm at 20.
-Will a walbro 255 take care of me, or do I need more?
-What is my wastegate actuator?

Also Last night I hear this loud pop, I look behind me and theirs a cloud of white smoke. I pull over and theirs antifreeze everywheres. My car would start, but it had a bad sputtering problem. Could these problems be related?
 
I hate to say it or sound like a d1ck, but park your sh1t and learn more about mod'n instead of throwing stff on that your have no idea what it is or does. You may as well throw grenades AT it then mods ON it.

You are destroying your car. Please read some of the many documented upgrade paths here on dsmtuners and on many other sites.

jdmawd are you telling me that I dont have enough supporting mods for the mods I have? If so what do I lack besides a boost controller?

He is not being a Dick, he is being brutally honest with you. If you want help with your problems calling people what can help you names is a very bad idea. lets look at your mod list.

free mods - k&n cone filter - Clutch Masters clutch (HDSB) - HKS turbotimer - Ported and Polished Head - Turbo XS typeH RFL BOV - Injen Intake - Magnecor 8.5mm - .30 bore & oversized pistons - 16G

you have a ported head and no exhaust?

you bought a blow off valve and still no exhaust

no fuel management/pump injectors..ect..ect

you need to PARK your car and spend the next month learning how to mod it. who told you to mod your car this way? a turbo before exhaust head and motor work before fuel management and $240 BOV and no boost controller?

if it were me, and i had a 2nd gen dsm with a 16g, my mod list would be.


full 3" exhaust

upper intercooler pipe

660 injectors

1g fuel rail and adjustable fuel pressure regulator

pocket logger

boost controller

255LPH fuel pump

boost ,egt and a/f gauge
 
due to engine damage I had to have my head ported and polished and a .30 bore. My turbo went bad and the kind people at extreme said I could bolt the 16g with the mods I have with no problems. I figured being the business their in they know what they are talking about.

They probably assumed you knew what they were talking about too when you gave them the go-ahead. This is why you are being flammed.
 
LOL.... your getting fuel cut. Get summore supporting mods! Close this thread quick! JK... I will just say EGT, AF guage, boost controller. Injectors, feul control: AFC, fuel pump, FPR.... dont boost it hard unless you can tell if your f#ckin up the engine or not. Its easy to melt your pistons under high boost.
