Alright guys im a old domestic guy, and i dont like loud screaming exhaust. I like it deep and mellow; I have searched for the last couple of days, and found out that RSR exhaust is probally the quietest but they dont make them any more. I also saw where some people are using the stock muffler and adding a cutout; I just want the quietest exhaust does anybody have any ideas... i want something alittle louder than stock at idle and crusing at WOT i dont care how loud it is.....

Buy a dejon powerhouse catback, you get a silencer if you want, and pick whatever muffler they have on there site, or you can buy a muffler seperate to your liking.

My old 3" Buschur exhaust is the best sounding exhaust I have heard on a 1g. It was quiet but deep at idle and when the throttle opened up it sounded mean as hell. I even had a 60 year old guy that seen me race an ls1 camaro tell me that my car sounded better than the camaro. He was suprised on how good it sounded and how it didnt sound like a damn fart muffler.:thumb:

+1 I was also pleasently surprise with my br exhaust. Sounds great. Quality is second to none.

Ok i checked there website and they dont offer a 3" for a fwd anymore.

it's kind of hard for these engines to sound like little honda screamers, they just havea different characteristic sound. i've had tons of different set ups, the quietest and smoothest of which was a 2.5" dp, no cat, 2.5" piping for the rest to an oval twin tipped muffler. it seems the oval mufflers are smoother and quieter than the round mufflers.
if you're on 3" piping, i'd go with a resonator in the middle and an oval muffler in the back.
