I've pretty much gutted my entire car in hopes of "restoring" it. I'm planning to run new fuel lines using braided stainless line and AN fittings. My car will not see more than 500whp so I'm looking to run -6 line for the feed and return. (I've aquired more then enough fitting so why not do both in -6)

My question is, I'm going to be using -6 bulk head fittings for the feed and return. I have seen this done but am using a 255 walbro fuel pump. What fitting and size line should I use to connect the pump to the bulk head? It seems I can use 5/16 or 1/4" line but I can't seem to find either of those sizes to a -6.

Anyone have any links to those who've used a -6 bulk head and a 255 pump?

I pieced together a kit like this for Dan (project_tsi) about a year ago.

Going by memory, we used one of these on the underside of the bulkhead. Then he connected this fitting to the fuel pump outlet using a piece of 3/8" reinforced fuel hose. And he clamped it tight to the Walbro outlet nipple.

I'll give him a call and have him come in a verify this.

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered a fitting like the one you pictured as well as received a pm from another member with that same kind of fitting. I hope to be dropping the tank this weekend to do some cleaning, adding the bulk heads and running new fuel and brake lines.

Yes that is the exact fitting I used when I ran -6 lines (I run -8 now).

I ran the bulkhead through the fuel pump plate and used the -6 to -6 pushlock fitting on the bulkhead. I then used 2-3" of -6 or 3/8's high pressure line attached to the fitting and the 255 pump. I used a hose clamp on the hose going to the 255.

I still run a similar fitting with my current setup. I still have the 255 intank, but it feeds a bosch 044 inline with all -8 lines. I have a -8 bulkhead in the pump plate with a -8 to -6 pushlock fitting in the same style.

Sounds good. I choose -6 because I only plan on 400whp. Trying to build an all around solid year round daily driver (if that exsists?) But stock lines weren't looking healthy so I figure upgrade and "restore" Should be getting to the tank this weekend if all goes well.

I am running -8 but I also did the 3/8 fuel line from the bulkhead to the pump. Seems to work fine clamped to the top of the 255 pump. Just make sure what ever fuel line you use in the tank is safe for submersion. My first line was supposedly submersible but after a few months, the hose swelled and split wide open.
