I can't believe I'm on my 3rd motor, and it's already starting to rod knock and possibly crankwalk.

With it being auto, can I still swap in a 6 bolt motor? Can I keep the auto tranny?...or would I need to change a few things? Thanx for any help!

I don't think you can swap a 6-bolt into your Civic without extensive modification. J/K. Yes you can swap a 6-bolt in there, same deal as with a MT GSX except you have all the tranny wiring to deal with. :D

So can I still use my tranny with the 6 bolt motor? Is there any difference between the 6 bolt motor and the automatic flexplate between the 2 generations?

I know the difference between the 6bolt/7bolt motors is the number of bolts on the flywheel/crank. But with an automatic tranny, that doesn't really matter huh?

it can be done but with a lot of work...good luck on this one...check vfaq.com and i think there's a section on there...:dsm:

HaHaHa! That's the whole point of this post...

I'm searching for other guys that have done this swap...so I'll let you guys know if I find any more info. If all fails, I'll just do the damn swap and report on it later. :thumb:
