Quick question, Is anyone familiar with "Volcano" intake inserts. The product is displayed on T.V. Also, does anyone know if these metal inserts work for a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi turbo. I would like to find a way to conserve on my gas consumption. Any responses will be appreciated...Thanks in advance

Don't get one of those. You can put one on but it is just a waste of money. The whole selling point of that thing is that it spirals the air going into the engine. Basically you put this thing after the air filter and it is supposed to increase velocity. You would probably need to put this thing right after the MAS which is just a foot away from the turbo. The spiraling air now hits the turbo and the motion completely changes direction. Meaning that it turns into the intercooler. If you put the thing in your upper intercooler pipe, it will only slow down the air and act as a restriction. That thing will hinder performance. The best way to get better gas mileage would be to just drive slower or turn the boost down. I am not too crazy about putting something that flimsy in my intake track. Look at the commercial again and watch how much the thing can flex. I would be concerned about pieces of that thing breaking off and chipping the turbine blades and getting into the engine depending on where you put the thing. Well, that is what I think of it. Hopefully that helps.

Thanks for the input, i wasn't totally sure about the whole action of the spooling air. Now that i think of it it does seam to be very flimsy. Oh well that really helped...thanks again
