I am installing the universal aeromotive AFPR and I was looking at the vaccum line on my gsx that comes from the intake manifold and would hook up to my AFPR. The vaccum line splits off 2 times leaving 2 lines that run in through the fire wall and one more line that runs through a little black box that is mounted on the fire wall next to the brake fluid. I have a vaccum/boost gauge so I think one of those lines running into the firewall is for that. Does anyone elses vaccum line look like this? I am wondering what other people did when they were installing their FPR and had to attach the vaccum line to the FPR. Should I just split the vaccum line again?

Did you buy the car with the boost gauge already installed? Anyways, the most common way if installing a boost gauge is to tee the line into the fuel pressure solenoid line.

A picture would really help if possible.

Are you sure the black box you are referring to isn't the fuel pressure solenoid? The FPS is really not sqaure looking. But it is usually located on the driver's side of the brake fluid reservoir mounted to the firewall. It should have a vacuum hose from the IM connecting to the bottom nipple as well as an electrical connector on the bottom (just in front of the nipple). Then a vacuum hose from the top nipple that goes to the FPR (unless you have removed the FPS altogether). If this is the case then leave it be and run a hose from the top nipple to the vacuum fitting on your new AFPR.

If it is a true square box and if it has a second vacuum line that runs to the nipple on the WGA then it could be the actuator box for your Greddy EBC. Although this would be a very unusual (and poor) location for mounting it.

Note that the vacuum hose that runs from the IM to the bottom nipple of the FPS can be teed into many times without affecting performance.
