I recently took my turbo off to port out the o2 housing. I removed all the oil lines and coolant lines. How should i go about putting it back on?
Do i have to flush the coolant or get an oil change. I did do a search, but i didnt find anything specific like this.

What do u mean by prime the turbo? If i didnt port the ex/housing or turbo, will i still need to put in that little round metal gasket , or can i ditch that?

well all the oil has been drained out of the turbo. just take your plug wires off and turn the car over a couple of times this will prime the turbo with oil before running your car when you get the turbo back on!

simple as that is, id be afraid of electrical shock or shorts
just pull the fuse instead

Which fuse should i pull? When i do that, do i just try and start the car like i normaly would a couple times, then put it back in?

its the ENG fuse In the box in the engine bay. I think the color is blue off the top of my head. I usually crank it for 10 seconds like 2 or 3 times.

i took the wires off and did it that way. Right after i started the car w/ the wires on, there was some smoke comming from the ext manif. and turbo area. I quickly turned the car off and tried to see what it was. I tried it again, and the same thing happened. Im not sure if its just buring the wd40 that i used on it or what. It smells really bad in the engine bay too. Please tell me i didnt fry my turbo or have a clogged oil line. I tried it again and it didnt smoke this time, but it still smelt. HELP!

Relax, it will smoke for a while. Usually at least 5-10 minutes of idling, and perhaps again the first time you get it really hot. Perfectly normal. And if you didnt figure it out already, after porting you ditch the metal ring. :)

I let it idle for about 10-15 min, and the somking went away. Whew. I took it for a drive around the block and the tubo spooled like normal. It sounded kind of weird when it wined down, but thats prob just me. I only ported the o2 housing at this time, not the turbo. I just took it off the ext manif. cause i couldnt get the o2 housing off and i replaced my o2 sensor cause the old one was totally shot. I still need to get the other gaskets for when i port out the turbo, but now i know what to do.

well I congratulate you for jumping in head first and doing it. Thats the way I learned everything :) You'll save a ton of money by going in there yourself and porting all of these pieces, and that leads to the confidence to do other mods on your own. I cant imagine what it would have cost me in labor to get my car to this point. :D

Yeah tell me about it. After my $1200 clutch job, that the mechanic told me he had to take off the rotor gurter thinamobob in the trans so he could get to the clutch ( too bad back then i didnt know what he was talking about). Everything else, i have either done or will do myself. You ever try and put the turbo on by yourself!? My friend helped me take it off, but by yourself, its a beich.
