Ok I have a bunch of questions my first is, is there a way to tell if you have an upgraded fuel pump the reason I ask it because i bought the car and put an exuast and it seemed kinda fast for just a exaust and filter and 15 pounds of boost I mean i was stomping the **** out of camaro's with built engines traction bars and such. Then my timing belt slipped and i started taking my car apart to replace the head and I noticed my car has a 16g in it wether its a big or a small i dont know but it does have bigsmallbigsmall inducer fins. My a/f gauge wasnt reading lean at 15 pounds of boost with a 16g so i dont know if it has an upgraded fuel pump or not? My next question, where is the best place to buy upper gasket kits and timing belt kits the ones with the tensioner and all the other belts down there? My car is a 91 tsi awd how do i tell if the head bolts are still good I thought all these cars had studs? Not mine thier bolts. One more question what is the measurement across the bottom of the 02 sensor housing where it meets the downpipe on the stock 02 sensor housing?

Thanks for all your help
Drew

ok, i can only answer a few questions for ya but its doing my part :)

fuel pump, only way I know if is to physically take it out and look at it.. it is possible to run the !6g on a stock 1g fuel pump but its likely an upgraded unit, does it whine at all??

parts for timing belt (Conicelli).. www.partznet.com , they have great pricing and very knowledgeable sales associates..

I agree with larryd, about the fuel pump you have to check for yourself. If there is anyway to contact the original owner and find out that would be the easiest. Sounds like one of two things could of happened 1 the person who had it before was starting to upgrade the car or 2 the original factory turbo went out and they replaced it with a 16G thats an easy thing to do and a direct swap. It probley cost the same for a factory 14B as a performance 16G. I would suggest doing a fuelpump rewire just to be safe. If your trying to figure out if your 02 sensor housing has been ported you can tell because there should be a lip right at the opening check this picture out to give you an idea http://www.vfaq.com/proj-pics/porting/O2-01.jpg
