Has anyone had any problems installing a t28 and having the dealer notice?
My parents might buy me a 2g GST (cuz i got into Harvard!) and i wanna get a decent turbo without voiding the warranty just wondering if anyone had any experience either way in this area.
Thanx guys

It would make sense to me that non factory parts would not be coverd by the factory. I know that when you drop the car that if anything goes wrong, It your problem. And by the way. Congrats on harvard, Good job!!

I don't mean having them cover the turbo, but most warrantys will be voided if you upgrade the turbo. I don't mind having to take care of my own turbo but i don't want the engine /drivetrain warranty voided just cuz i put a decent turbo on. I figured since they supposedly have the same housings then it would look totally stock until u took it apart. Right?

The only problem that you would have be if they take the intake pipe off, which is common to make space, it is obvious that the turbo is not stock. Mitsubishi will do absolutely anything to avoid paying for some thing so it is likely they will void the warrantee. Another problem might be that it would be really nice to have some supporting mods to go with the turbo like an UIC pipe, down pipe, exhaust, fuel pump, and BOV. Mitsubishi would not give me any warrantee on some of the work they did to my car when I first got it and all I had was an upper intercooler pipe and a fluidyne. It might be alittle trickey getting around those guys. Just get the car and say screw the warrantee. 9 times out of 10, they will not do good work anyway.

yea. it costs them money to fix things under warrenty. so they are going to try and get out of it anyway possible, plus even if you stay stock, they will do anything they can to do a cheap job and get it running. so the best bet is to stay away from them even if you stay stock.

congrads on getting into harvard. i am waiting on my answer back from them. i want to be a lawyer sooooooo damn bad.
