After installing my webcams I am having some odd problems. I will
post a log of this later tonight, but I'm at work now so I'll just
describe it.

When the car is cold:

My idle is all out of whack and one cylinder cuts out when the car
is cold. When initially started, the car idles very roughly at 1500
RPMs and slowly creeps up to 2K, at which point the 4th cylinder
kicks in and the car idles smoothly. I am positive that I am
running on 3 cyls sometimes when I start the car up on a cold day.
I will drive around and actually feel/hear one cyl cut out and come
back in. When the car warms up, that cylinder seems to self correct
itself.

When the car is warm:

When I go WOT below 3.5K I have ABSOLUTELY no power. Checking
through my logs, this seems to be a result of ignition timing. Once
I go WOT, the timing does not drop to around 8 deg as it should.
Instead it stays very high (in the low 20s and teens if I remember
correctly) and I my turbo spools sllooooowwwly. I'm assuming this
turbo lag is directly related to the high inflated ignition timing.
Eventually the timing straightens itself out (somewhere above 4K)
and it starts progressing as it should. Also at WOT, each time
after shifting the car sputters for about half a second and feels
just like it's running on 3 cyls for that short amount of time.
Then it kicks back in and feels smooth and powerful once again. I'm
getting absolutely horrible gas mileage as well.

When the car is HOT:

It will idle at around 1500 RPMs and when it's real hot it will even
surge from around 1200 to 1700 once every two seconds or so.

At RPMs above 4K at WOT, the car feels very powerful. As I said,
however, I'm having idle problems, NO low end power at all, and bad
bad gas mileage. I will get somewhere around 20 mpg highway and 12
city. I have a crack in one of my fuel injector caps. It doesn't
look like it would cause all these problems, but I'm going to be
replacing it very soon nonetheless, just to rule it out.

Sorry for the lengthy post. I hope someone can help. I will be
uploading logs tonight hopefully.

Thanks,
Chris
