:dsm: Hi there, I am looking at getting a GReddy boost controller. I would like to keep the turbo stock just because I have heard too much grief about aftermarket turbos. With my set up and nothing more, how much boost could I run safely and how much more power can I expect to get by slappin on this system.

Any one with this unit please share your story with me since I have no idea, as to what I am up for. And since I am on a budget, is this even a good way to go to get more power?.:dsm:

It depends which type of controller you buy, the profec-b is not very good, but since you will not be doing an upgraded turbo it might works well for you, i had problems will it but i was pusheing alot of boost...with everything stock you could push little over 16psi,but if you want something that will work with no problems get a basic manual boost controller. They are very very cost affective.

I think most people on here would say that the profec B is one of the better boost controllers around. I love mine, works perfect with my 20G.

anyways if you arent going to do to much to your car, I would get a basic manual controller. You wont get MORE with an electronic one, it will just make life easier when it comes to setting the boost....

well the Profec B is a great boost controller and should be perfectly fine for your T25 and just upping the boost to like 15 or 16psi which is whats good for a bone stock 2g DSM.

If you wanna save yerself some $$ though just get a MBC from www.boostcontroller.com and put the rest of the $$ towards a gauge pod and boost gauge because you should turn up your boost without a gauge to know how much boost your running.

with mine, it would never hold boost, vary between the 1psi higher or 1psi lower...one or the other.

i guess it would fine when your not pumping out alot of boost w/a smaller turbo...but if you wont pin-point measures, manuals work more than fine...

Well, I would also reccomend a MBC. I have one, and it works great. No fooling.

Also, just for information sake, I have never really done much work on cars at all, and I was able to put a different turbo in my car all by myself in just a couple hours. It's pretty easy, as long as you have all the parts.
