Brian Crower 280's
I havent heard a whole lot about these cams... Infact I havent heard much about the 280's HKS makes either. I know they perform realy well in the Evo's but what about in our eclipses?
Is the BC cams any different from the HKS's?

Brian Crower cams are regrinds if I remember right, and so are the FFWD DKS cams. The HKS are the same but they are actual cast parts, not stock cams with medal welded on then regrind.
My buddy actually is having a 2.3 forged stroker built right now. With DKS 280 cams, crower springs and ferrea valves. Should be a nice setup. They are real nice for strokers since 272's seem not to be enough. They are also good for high reving 2.0's.

we have used them in house an lots of different applications with great success.
I am really surprised more people aren't posting their own reviews and feedback because i have sold many of them to members of this board. Both 272's and 280's.

you're going to love them. One of the biggest benefits i have seen with the BC's over something like the HKS's is that idle. It is much smoother. You will see significant gains up top. Even more so in the higher gears but i will say they aren't for everybody.
my98GST: If your mod list in your profile is up to date i am going to recommend you go with the 272's over the 280's.

Thats a great deal for new cast cams. Usually over 500 for them. My buddy went with DKS cams and hope they work out well. Ive seen web cam lobes actually grind down in the head after a long time. Maybe he should have gone with Brian Crower.

JUST STOP! Dont post on things you dont know. BC's are not regrinds, that is why for the price of them I dont know why anyone goes with the DKS cams... Also, WEBCams are not regrinds, A LOOOOONG time ago they were but they have not sold regrinds for years. Webs are made from new cores and if you have been around for a while you would remeber they got a bad batch of cores years ago and had premature ware issues. This kind of gave them a bad name for DSMers, but I have Web cams and love them, I dont think the idle as smooth as FP2's but they make good power.

I also was wondering about going with 280s over the 272s because I will be building the head with stiffer valve springs and retainers to enable it to rev to 8500.I was thinking maybe the 272s would run out of steam as the 280s may still be making power up there.

Crower makes stage 4 288's i've seen them on various sites. My friend loves them, though the idle is pretty rough, but i bet the 280's feel great and have alot of top end. The 288's are just sick nasty.

Dont talk to me like that, no need for hostility. Its guys like you why I dont like forums, so dont give me that shit. I just cant see how they can sell them so cheap not being regrinds. Why would people even make regrinds then. Im sorry I should have not assumed they are regrinds.

I would go with 280's if you want to rev that high and your a 2.0. If you are going stroker I would go with something big like FP3 or FP3x's. My mechanic is running these and they have a .430 intake lift.

1.Calm down ther spanky. I will say it again, DONT POST SOMTHING THAT YOU DONT KNOW, if you want to take that as hostility, then that is your problem. Guys like me huh? What do you mean, you posted misinfromation and then tryed to correct and follow up with more misinfromation. I am sorry if that makes you feel bad, but I wasnt trying to be hostil with you. So what shit are you refering to that i gave you?
Web has already takin a rep hit with the DSMers after a bad batch of cores YEARS ago. They since switched core manufactures, gave all the people that asked for them new cams and have not had the problem since, yet you will still here DSMers talk about it if you bring up WEBCams.
In regards to BC, he is new on the market and I am sure he dosent want a rumor floting around that his cams are regrinds, I think it would be easy to belive also because the ultra low price matches up with regrinds. But they are not.
Just trying to make sure there is quality infromation out there for the people now and the people who search in the future.
2. In regards to your comment on we people buy regrinds.. I dont know either. The BC's are new on the market and I think he is trying to really break into it.
3. In regards to the FP3's or FP3x's, be carful. You beed to have some serious valvetrain for those. They have some serious ramp rates and ask the valve to open and close very fast. Without proper valvetrain you will be in trouble.

i asked brian the same question in regards to pricing and he said he is diving into it real hard in huge quanitities. Volume manufacturing makes products much more affordable.
I don't see how 99% of DSM's could run a 272 to the max. 280's are not bad but with out a larger turbo and a high rev design you will not see the benefit.
