might knock and creep be related?

I was getting creep with my s16G. mbc set at 15 psi would creep to 18+ above 4500. with a 25% mix of toluene in the tank (97.5 octane net) I get no creep whatsoever, even with boost set @ 19 psi. could the creep have been caused by knock?
I'll check counts when I get a pocketlogger.

It's related to timing, which is related to knock. So it is possible, but more likely you turned the boost up when you put in the tolulene and you turned it up past the boost creep threashold.

why would there be a creep max threshold? theoretically, the more boost would make more exhaust that would need to be pushed out of the little wastegate hole, unless the small 16G is starting to run out of flow, or the amount of exhaust increases less quickly than the boost level...

oh, and the knock went away @ 15psi as well (I ran it at 15 with a lesser mix of T and the creep went away then, with octane @ 94)
