How well do built engines and daily driving go together?

Just curious is to how well these two go hand in hand. I noticed alot of people looking to get built engines to going all out. And still want to be streetable. And on top of that, would be the only car they would be driving.

Would the 6-bolt/95 pistons be the best for the street? I read that you get into problems with daily drivablilty/reliability with built engines.

It would work fine, but if I were running forged pistons I wouldnt be driving my car around town too much.

Hell at the last dsm meet we had a guy with an L3R driving fine on the street. So far he's clicked off high 11's and that was with the L2R last summer.

I would say a 6bolt block with the big rods and 95 pistons would be great. Maybe even some crower or eagle rods with 2g pistons. OMG

It really cracks down to everyones perception of daily driving.

LOL
Geoff whats going on Its SuperDave...

from what iv been told for Daily Driving 95Pistons and big rods are probabaly the best setup for reliability , basically on a 6 bolt its the best of bopth worlds , higher compressin , and reliability.

Just my .02

I have eagle rods and venolia pistons, am i going to run into streetability problems?

If you do g with forged internals how often is the engine going to need to be rebuilt compared to going with big rods and 95 pistons?

Didn't the other 15 threads you've started on this topic answer ANY of your questions?

I only made 2 topics about this topic. I'm also trying to help people, since I am pretty sure they have the same question. Reason why I started this topic is for the other people who have a similiar question. And so, if they run a search they can see this thread. I don't think most people will look into my other thread about built engines and daily drivability.

Do you know what your piston to wall clearance is? Because I'm going with Ross pistons and from what I understand they have about the same expansion rate as the Wisecos. Is your motor bored over? Thanks for the info.
