I need your guy's opinion on a T3/T04e
50 trim .63 AR with a stage 3 wheel. what is it capable of? Lag? and what size injectors should be used?... I just came across a guy selling one and wanna see if it's any good. I know there's a BIG difference between this and the 60 trim.. so let me know. THANKS ;)

It's a common turbo, capableof making good power and very streetable with other mods. You'll need a different manifold because the garret bolt pattern and flange design is different than the Mitsu pattern and design. Likewise you'll also need a downpipe and O2 housing eliminator thats made for the garret turbine housing. You'll also need an external wastegate, as well as some misclaneous fittings and lines.

Good luck if you decide to purchase it.

I'd be getting the manifold, the mark 2 external wastegate, o2 elim downpipe to straight pipe to greddy evo exhaust. Also a walbro 255, S-AFC, maybe 550's. 550's enough or should i go ahead and do 660's? What turbo is this comparable to? How much power is it capable of...HP wise.. and would it be enough for my goal of FWD 12sec street tires?

It's comparable to a 20G. I ran low 12's in my AWD on a 50 trim hybrid turbo last year, on street tires of course. I was using 550's, a 190lph pump, and VPC as my fuel components.

I would suggest the Tial WG instead of the old deltagate. Everone I know personally who has used the MkII has replaced it or is going to replace it with the Tial 35mm or 35/40mm Tial WG.

Which manifold are you getting?

Good luck

ill be getting the turbonetics manifold. Whats the major differences between the mark 2 and the tial 35mm. Isn't it the more boost the less wastegate you need? How many pounds of boost were you running on the 50 trim.?

I usually ran around 25-27psi on race gas at the track, about 17-18 psi on 93.

I haven't used a Mk2, but friends of mine have had problems with the valve opening prematurely and leaking, spring problems, etc... I'll be running a 35/40mm Tial hybrid next year.

Good luck,

I just wanted to add that you'll be pushing the limits on 550 injectors. Go with 650's. That turbo is capable of putting you into the mid 12's. More if you get really good tires. I got into the 12's (just barely) with my 1G FWD, Big 16G, and Nitto 555 drag radials which are slightly better than the best street tires. See my profile for more info. What track do you race, Sears Point or Sacto?

We usually go to sears.. or infineon now i guess.. and I'm hoping that I can hit my goal when summer comes around..any other suggestions as far as supporting mods?

Get a FMIC, remove as much weight from behind the rear axle as you can to help with traction. Get some type of LSD. Some have had good results with the cheaper Phantom Grip LSD, but a true LSD like the Quaife is much stronger. If that's not in the budget try rebalancing the tire air pressure so that both tires grip evenly. Polyurethane front motor mount to reduce wheelhop. Stiffer lower springs and adjustable shocks will help keep the weight from transfering to the rear. That's all I can remember now. There are lots of little things you can do.

DSM BLUE TURBO: I Just put the same turbo setup on my 91 gsx. I have yet to really drive the car around that much because I am changing alot on the car. But what I can tell you about this turbo is that it is awesome!!. I have driven my car on the street with this turbo on real low boost and pump gas and can pull zo6's and supercharged mustang's with ease. I will also tell you that my friend Nate Crisman of DSMotorsport ran this turbo on his car and ran 11.0 at 125 so this turbo is very well capable of getting your car low twelves or even 11's with good traction tuning and the right mod's ofcoarse. I can say that Nates car was very simple in the way that he made that 11.0 on stock intake, head, cams. He had a built motor but compression stayed almost stock. Basically what I am saying is that the 50trim is one of the best turbo's your money can buy and I am glad I bought the setup. My goal with this turbo is tens and I will get there with it, and will let everybody know when I do. You should go with 660's for injector's the spool up is good it is to be compared to with the Green spool up. Power wise Is a ? that really can't be answered because everyones car has different supporting mods. I hope to see with the supporting mods that I have and great tuning on the dyno 450 to 475 whp and 425 to 440 wtq. On race gas and high boost. Well I hope I could help good luck with your car regardless of what turbo you get. later
