testing CAS

To really test it you would need to hook it up to a scope and watch the waveforms of the sensors. But the way I test them is to just plug it into a 1G car with the key on and spin it by hand. You will hear the injectors fire and also you can check for spark. If your injectors fire and you have spark it works.

ok, the injectors are firing and i do have spark so I assume its working fine. I just wasnt sure if there was an inbetween from working and not workign at all like just not optimal?

Spin it by hand... what did he mean, I know this is an old post but I am trying to test if mine is broken or what not

Or the ECU. ECU pin 54 sends the 1/4 Coil a signal (via the ignition transistor) and Pin 55 the 2/3 coil signal. Try spinning the CAS and check voltage at the Transistor plug (54=Violet / 55=Yellow/Red Stripe) to see if both lines give similar results :dsm:
