Exhaust Question?

Ok so I bought a Megan Racing 2.5 inch to 3 Inch Downpipe and evo 3 o2 housing with 3 inch Catco cat. Now my debate is to go with a side exit exhaust or a straight through with a muffler, I dont want a ricer sound to my car, I like the deep grawly tone. I found this muffler http://www.cardomain.com/item/PILPM521 and think it looks simalir to the one's i've seen on alot of dsm's. I dont like the fat cannon looking type exhausts at all. What do you guys think I should get?

Check out magnaflows mufflers. They've got EXCELLENT sound and are resonably priced. 14822 is the part # to the one i want i believe.

I would say a magnaflow, they are on the VRS exhuats, and from the reviews on those that I have read, its a low rumbling tone to it, and sounds mean when in high rpm's, or just get a $15 glass pack, and chill with the V-8 boys. Also if you do go side exit, make sure that its not pointing straight out the side, have it point towards the ground, that will lessen the noise, because if you drive-by a cop, and he is on the same side as your exhaust you can be assured your getting a ticket for sound ordinances. Check out Greg Collier's exhaust, thats what he did.

Mine will be side exit.Im putting a universal turbo style muffler where the cat is now,then running it out the side right before the rear passenger tire.If youve looked under your car,youll see its easy enough because of where that 90* bend is under the body right before the rear axle.Mine is getting welded up this week so I'll try to post resluts.

Magnaflow has a muffler that looks exactly the same as that. And though it would have been more expensive, i bet the sound wouldn't even be comparable.

Ya I wanted to get the magnaflow but I already spent alot of money on my exhaust setup, and the apc muffler was only $26 bucks! Cant go wrong .

it will sound good. With the rest of your exhaust its hard to make a turbo car sound like poo...but ive seen it done.

Whoo, and when a turbo car is bad, it's BAAAAAD. They either sound awesome, or HORRRRRIIIIBBBBLLLLEEEEE.

But most of the time just awesome.

Looks exactly like the magnaflow on my VRS, you wont be dissapointed in sound.

i've got a buscur exhaust (2.5 inch pressbent) w/ a dynomax muffler and test pipe. bought it for 200 used. had to weld in a new flex section. mine sounds good for what it's worth (not too loud.)
