was doin my usual ebay searching and came across this:

Gain up to 20 HORSE POWER!
Oxygen-Fuel ratios in modern automobiles are regulated by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Your factory ECU is set to maintain a 14.7:1 Oxygen-Fuel ratio, this is known as a stoichometric fuel mix. This mix is a balance between power and fuel economy. However, richening the mix will generate an increase in power. The fuel/oxygen ratio must remain between 13:1 and 17:1 to remain efficient, this Oxygen Performance Modification will increase your vehicle's performance by adjusting it's Oxygen-Fuel ratio. Your vehicle's performance will increase noticeably, you will have more power without decreasing your fuel economy.
All parts and instructions are included--installation is very basic and will only take about 20-30 minutes.
This is a great modification for any car, and will indeed increase your vehicle's HP without damaging it in any way.

what the hell is this and does it hold truth?

copy & paste
In theory, the perfect air/fuel ratio is 14.7 parts of air to one part of gas, by weight. A uniform air/fuel ratio of this proportion allows the mixture to burn completely without leaving an excess of either fuel or air. Rich (excessive fuel) or lean (excessive air) mixtures both result in loss of power. An excessively lean mixture can also cause engine damage.

There are a number of "performance" modifications going around on eBay at the moment.

Most of them rely on tricking the ECU into running richer by perturbing the signal from various engine sensors. The intake air and coolant temperature sensors are favorites; it looks like someone's trying with the O2 sensor as well.

I've even seen one that was a $0.05 resistor and a single-sided photocopy; it sold for $30.oo.

Needless to say, they're all junk, and the descriptions and claims they post are filled with mistruths and outright lies. Stay well away from these people; they want your money, and they think you're stupid enough to give it to them.

thats what i thought and it looks like a rip off for some 5 cent resister. thanks everyone
