Ok, I have finally gotten another dsm and have the cash saved up to build the motor up and toss a good turbo setup on there. I got rid of my last one a while back and am kinda iffy on a few things, but I figured I'd get some input before getting to work. Here's what its going to look like-
BTW, all of the headwork has been done.

.020'' Wiseco 9.0:1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
All ARP Hardware
DKS2 Cams
No Balance Shafts
Bullseye T04B (57 Trim)
FMIC of some sort
Walbro 255
AFPR
880c's
Tune w/DSMLink

I've already got the supporting mods lined up, but I'm still learning more and more about DSMLink from fellow tuners. My main concern is will the injectors be enough, or shall I need to step it up a lil' bit more? Also, I'm going w/forged internals just b/c it is kind of a nice insurance policy incase something were to go wrong. Anyways, does this setup look ok, or are there a few things that I might be missing?

Looks like a solid build list to me. I'd go larger on the injectors (950's) just to have more head room since you're tuning with Link. The forged internals are great since you can run low timing advance and heinous amounts of boost on pump gas without melting parts. One additional part that may work well for you is an SMIM so that you don't have any intake manifold restrictions. You might also want to look into a T04E 4" cover for your 57 trim since larger covers create less heat in the intake charge. Also, what did you have done to the head?

Should be a very fun ride and a blast to drive. I might have to take a spin down there and call shotgun.

Have fun and let us know how she goes together,

Andy

EPROM ecu for that DSMLink? And go with those 950s that Andy said, because Link can control them, and will allow you more tuning room with the lower IDC that they will provide.

And not trying to correct Andy;) but the to4e cover is 3" just like the b cover. The to4s cover is the 4". If you are worried about clearance, get a n/t water pipe. Chances are, the turbo will be oil cooled only and will not need the water lines.

Anyway, I would I agree with Andy, go for the to4e, not the to4b.

Do you have the sbr manifold machined for a 38mm external wg. If so, I would get a Tial 38mm wg and not try to use the internal gate. The wg will cost you a couple hundred $ but the internal wg option on most turbos are $100-125. The total overall cost difference is very little.

And make sure there's a dumptube on that external wastegate. There's nothing worse than full spool on a new setup being cut short by an electrical nightmare. I believe the t04s cover can also be an anti-surge cover, which is a good thing.

Dammit Keith, what would I do without you to clean up my messes? Thanks. I really did mean the S cover, but by now we know that I'm not all that bright!

And yes! Definitely go external for the wastegate. If you can't stand the noise, you can always recirculate it into the downpipe.

Ok, so step up to 950s for some more headroom. Makes perfect since, and it shouldn't be too much overkill. I want to take full advantage of this setup as much as possible. I plan on getting a new manifold, and I wasn't aware I could have the SBR Piece machined for an external gate. My God, its been wayyy too long since I've gotten back into the scene. I figured I'd spend the extra cash for an external gate-its not that much more like mentioned before. BTW, this isn't relavent to the thread, but this DSM that I'm getting was the first one I started on. Never thought that I'd get it back, but I did. The kid who has it now tore it up, and now I get to fix it once again, but this time its gonna be a full build. God, I miss it
