Hello everyone,
This should be an easy one for you dsm guru's out there.
My question is concerning the vacuume valve on the thermostat housing w/the vacuume hose that run from the tb. I'm assuming it's only purpose is to control the egr valve, repeat [assuming]. So if that assumtion is correct and you block off the egr vavle this makes the v-valve useless (mine is already because someone broke off the brittle plastic nipples before i got the car) anyway my question is, can I block off all the the nipples for all those vacuume lines and toss the lines themselves. They are an eyesore and if they are unneccessary then I would like to get rid of them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

Yes, if you block off the EGR you can remove all the lines from the throttle body, the lines that run to the temp switch in the thermostat housing, the line that goes to the EVAP purge valve, and the lines that go behind the intake manifold and up to the EVAP selonoid on the firewall (make sure you are disconnecting the lines for the EVAP valve and not the fuel pressure selonoid.)

I blocked off my EGR and removed all those lines as well. I couldn't believe how much trash I was able to remove from the engine bay.
