Installing a 190lph AWD pump in a FWD. Difference?

OK so after a month of groveling with the vender I ordered my pump from I finally received it. I checked online and found out that it’s actually a Walbro 190lph for a 1G AWD. I have a 1G FWD. It doesn’t look like anything other than how the strainer is mounted. Will it work in my FWD? Are they mostly the same or are they different?

It will work, you just have to re-use your stock strainer *MAYBE* but I doubt it. A couple zip-ties maybe just to keep the pump in place.

It will work, only problem youll have is gwtting that damn fuel pump out without breaking your fuel pump hosuing. It was a bi*** on my laser. Just be very careful when removing the bolts, fuel lines. Once it's off it;s cake.

It'll probably work, but I'd try to get the correct pump. Make life alot easier than jerry-rigging something.

Make sure you soak everthing in PB blaster for a LONG time! I soaked my for over a week. Used a fine wire wheel in a dremel to get rid of the surface rust on the fittings and sending unit bolts...and then soaked then some more. Used line wrenches also! Mine was so bad I actually bought another tank as a backup.

It will work, Its easy. The one pump (can't remember which) has the inlet and outlet on the same side, but the other pump has the inlet and outlet 180 degrees around. Other than that, they are the same, both flow the same rate and direction, etc.
