Hey guys
Was wanting your input on whether I should do the 31mm wg or 34mm wg on my evo 3. How much will the 34mm help with creep? Will it only be something that I will have to worry about if I ran 3'' turbo-back. I already plan on porting the turbine inlet. Just haven't decided on the wg.

in my personal preference im actually lookin to buy the new sbr bastard 20g (its a 16g housing with a 20g wheel, if you havent seen it yet) with the sbr evo 3 manifold with a tial 38mm wg and evo 3 ported o2 housing, some 660cc, s-afc 2, and a dejon street fmic

if your not lookin to go the whole nine yards i would just go with a 34mm flapper:talon:

Get an external wastegate, sooner or later you'll need it.... And if you spend money now on 34mm flaper you'll just trow that money away....I guarantie you, soon , you'll desire bigger turbo, and then you'll need external wastegate...

I rather agree with mirkoelec, as a 31mm, PROPERLY ported SHOULD work with a evo3 even with a 3" turboback. Here ya go for the porting, http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=186525 Yeah I know I have the 34mm deal, but I wasn't aware of the porting tricks at the time the turbo was purchased, and also, the larger flapper is rumored to open too easily at higher boost levels (I haven't gone over 16psi... yet, so I can't say for sure).

34mm flapper is worth every penny. I have one on my evo3 16g. sometimes you have to shim the wastegate actuator slightly to put more pre tension on the rod itself so it seals the flapper better. I have seen so far up to 40lb/min from my evo3 this way with perfect boost control.

very true, once you start to max out the evo3 16g, youll want to step up to atleast a gt30r series turbo. on racegas this turbo has provided 43lb/min thats base 20g airflow right there. this turbo is nice for what it is.
