My mind is wondering on what turbo to get here, i was wanting something simple i guess that could put me somewhere in the 12's with the (proper tuning). Anyhow i've been reading abotu 10 threads on here about bolt on turbos for 2g's and turbos that require an install kit. Searching around on the net over at www.horsepowerfreaks.com i saw that they had a kit for the 2g from extreme turbos called (ETE 32) that said up to 460whp. It comes with all the necessary parts to install and for 215 more or something you can get their 3" MAS inlet tube. Scoll down the page on their website you have the Greddy TDO5 18G bolt on kit that has all the needed parts. Then in a thread posted on here someone said not to buy that kit from greddy. Are their turbos not from Mitsu or Garret parts or something. Anyhow, both turbos mentioned the ETE 32 and the Greddy Turbo are direct bolt ons with no install kit like needed for a 16g on a Second Generation DSM. My actuall question is>>>> the Extreme turbo or the Greddy turbo worth buying. Anyone used a Extreme Turbo or a Greddy Turbo on a DSM before? Later guys :thumb:

Hes asking for a turbo that will get him to 12's (gst..... ugh). Hes decided upon the 18g or the mutt.... If your mind is made up upon what turbo your going with and its going to be one of those turbos, then Id go with the Mutt turbo over the 18g, as it is more goal oriented for you IMO. make sure yu search around for good prices. Horsepower freaks is cheap for a lot of things but when you go threw 2nd hand or 3rd hand companies the prices get quite outrageous if you ask me. For the price of 1400$ for the mutt and almost 1800$ for the greddy you are nutts. There are many other choices you can go by for a turbo for those prices. 1400$ you can get an http://www.agpturbo.com/, or for 1800$ you can get a complete t3/t4 kit of your choice http://www.turbochargers.com/ with manifold. Good luck, and feel free to ask questions just make sure they have proper format or else they will get locked, cause you dont want to make any mistakes when buying something this expensive. Noone here is ready to tell you about what turbo to buy, its soley up to you, but were are here to help out and show you proof from experrience and what not. Later,

I've run the Mutt ETE32 on my car and loved it. I didn't dyno it at all, but it pulled hard, boost hit around 3500rpm or so, and there was no boost creep with the internal gate. If you don't want to get it second hand, checkout www.dsm-performance.com, they're the makers of the mutt turbos. IMO they are very knowledgeable and nice guys there as long as you don't ask them a bunch of stupid questions. Good luck.
 
See that is kinda like my goal high 11's to mid to low 12's yeah money is and issue but not enough to were i can't do anything to my car at all. I still have 4,200 left in one account and now that the market is back up some 19,000 something in the washington fund. The thing is, if i start putting all this money in it, i will need money for school too so you see where i am going with this. but for sure i am gonna upgrade the turbo as well as other parts. In all i will spend around 3000 dollars after xmas this year and in 2003 from may to december. 3000, new or used could get that done even if that could get me a 12.3 in a quarter i would be happy. Doesnt the 20G require a install kit on a 2G? hook me up with a link and i will check it out. later guys.
 
THey have that kit for 1375 or something like that at that horsepower freaks and comes with everything needed to bolt it up to a 2G and nopionline.com has the same kit too but they call the ETE 32 a Garret T3/T4 turbo ahh well. I am wanting bolt on capabilities and if i have to benmd a few lines to get something to fit i will. I jsut dont really feel like going to big cause upgrading internals is not for me AT THIS TIME unless something goes through the block. but larryd made what 375 whp with stock internals right? Oh well i should aask him about that L2R thing he has i am intersested in. wonder what all it took to get that thing bolted up to it.?
