Is there any way to make the 255 pump quite? Or muffle the sound??? That winding is annoying!

I barely hear mine at all with all of the sound deadening and insulation removed from the floor-pan. ROFL Just kidding. Do you still have your rear seats in?? you could try another layer between the seat and tank maybe a towel or something. I really barely notice mine...

Get a louder stereo :D

Guess your best bet would be to insulate the area around it under the rear seat. I would think a product such as Dynamat would help out. Mine doesn't doesn't bother me anymore, I just think of it as performance whine ROFL

My radio broke LOL it just says E.......ill try a towel or something it starts to get to me when thats all I hear.....

I dont have anything in the back, it's bare and I can hear my pump but it's not overly loud like I hear people complain about. I head one on a 1st gen with full interior and it was a little louder then mine with gutter rear interior. Is that a bad thing?

I took that little wrap that is around the pump a bit far. I wrapped mine of 1/4 rubber mat and it is really quiet. I don't think there will be any negative effects but we will see.
